The district theme for the year is "Together We Rise: Soaring To New Heights". Students are encouraged to use their creativity to relate the theme to their own thoughts, ideas, and school experiences to create our YEARBOOK COVER!
•8.5 x 11 unlined paper - PORTRAIT
•All artwork must be original and the work of the student.
•Artwork must include the student signature at the bottom right side of the page
•Writing words must be clear and legible.
•If writing the school name in the drawing, all three names must be included: WECC, Burcham, Stafford.
Artwork is due no later than Wednesday, October 30th to the School Office.

The Weatherford Fire Department brought their fire clowns to WECC to teach the students about fire safety.
Important Fire Safety Information:
➡️Check the batteries once a month in our smoke detectors.
➡️Change the batteries twice a year in our smoke detectors.
➡️Daylight saving time occurs twice a year, a good tip is to change the batteries in your smoke detectors, so you don’t forget!
➡️When our clothes catch on fire, remember to…STOP DROP ROLL!
➡️Don’t play with matches or lighters.
➡️Have an exit plan. Talk about the ways you can exit your house. It could be a door or window and have a meeting place for everyone like a mailbox or neighbor’s house.

All power and phones are back on at WECC.
Currently we are without power at Stafford Elementary and WECC. We have been told the issue has been identified with hopes of it being corrected soon. While the power is out, both sites are without the ability to receive phone calls or other messages through the app. We do want everyone to know that all students are safe and will be served lunch. Thank you for your support!
WECC Traffic Notification to Parents
Parents, due to highway repairs on Hwy 54 there has been an increase in traffic near WECC and Stafford during Dropoff and Pickup. For the safety and security of ALL students, we ask that you follow ALL drop off/pick up procedures for both WECC & Stafford. Please do NOT drop your student off at the old church parking lot West of the school. The Weatherford Police Department has been notified of the compliance issues regarding street signs and cones not being followed and as a result will be sending additional units to patrol the area to ensure the safety of students and staff.
